What You Might See on a Circle Island Day

Every tour is custom, so the route depends on your interests, the weather and traffic. Popular stops on a full loop of the island include:

  • Southeast shore lookouts such as the Halona Blowhole and Halona Cove, where lava cliffs drop straight into the Pacific.
  • The windward (east) side, with the steep, fluted cliffs of the Ko'olau mountains, white-sand beaches and offshore islets such as Mokoli'i.
  • Cultural and historical sites and well-known filming locations along the way.
  • The North Shore, home to famous surf breaks such as Sunset Beach, Pipeline and Waimea Bay, and the surf town of Hale'iwa.
  • A local food stop – shrimp trucks, plate lunches and shave ice are local favorites.
