Highlights of the North Shore

• World-famous surf breaks: Sunset Beach, Pipeline and Waimea Bay. The biggest waves usually arrive in winter; summer is often much calmer.
• Hale'iwa town: the North Shore's historic surf town, known for shave ice, local shops and food trucks.
• Sea turtles: green sea turtles (honu) often rest on North Shore beaches – please give them space (see our wildlife etiquette guide).
• Lesser-known vistas, beaches and cultural sites away from the busiest stops.

• Hotel pickup and drop-off are included; pickup is at 7 a.m. and the tour lasts about 6 hours.
